Is there a monster that deals with courage?

I am going to be creating a poster sized drawing of the Wizard of Oz, I already have all the other characters created. I am having trouble with the lion though.
I am basing what they are seeking from the wizard. The scarecrow is seeking a brain, so he will be a zombie. The Tinman will be a vampire. Dorthy will be a ghost. Toto will be recreated into a miniature werewolf. I just cannot figure out what the Lion will be. He is seeking courage and no monster comes to mind that deals with courage. The only thing I can think of is Frankenstein, but only if there is fire present,

How about a character based on Renfield from Dracula or Fritz from Frankenstein, or you could make it look like Peter Lorre, who specialized in playing sniveling characters.
